When you create an account we store your name, email, and (for organisers) business details. When you save events or post happenings we record those actions so we can show them back to you.
We also collect basic device and usage analytics to keep the service reliable.
If you allow it, we use your device's approximate location (only while the app is open) to show events near you and sort them by distance. You can instead type a town, or skip. Your location is stored only on your device and is never sold or shared. You can turn location off anytime in your phone settings.
When organisers post an event, the event address is shown publicly.
You can delete your account and all your data in the app (Account → Delete account) or at fomoza.app/delete-account.
We use your data to operate Fomoza, personalise your feed, contact you about your account, and prevent abuse. We do not sell personal data.
You can request a copy of your data, correct it, or have it deleted at any time by emailing the address below. Where required by law (e.g. POPIA, GDPR) we will respond within the statutory timeframe.
We use strictly necessary cookies for authentication and limited first-party analytics to improve the product.
We rely on trusted infrastructure providers (hosting, authentication, storage). They process data only on our instructions.
